Dear Friends of Czech Culture:

The Libor Smoldas Quartet will perform an acoustic jazz concert at the Embassy of the Czech Republic on April 6, 2011, at 7 pm.  The band is fronted by Libor Smoldas (guitar), and includes Josef Feco (bass), Tomas Honzem (drums) and Petr Benes (piano).            

The Libor Smoldas Quartet is the leading representative of the so-called "new generation of Czech jazz." The band plays mainly original compositions—contemporary acoustic jazz. Thein latest album Live at the Jazz Dock (2010) attracted huge interest from listeners and earned favorable reviews in the Czech press.
