Don't miss this program of legendary Mexican composer Manuel Esperón (1911-2011), highlighting his
musical contribution to Mexico's film industry and popular music.
In an extraordinarily diverse career,
ELENA DURAN has appeared and recorded with many major orchestras in the UK, Europe, USA and Mexico. She has also toured and recorded with the great jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli, recorded a hit single with Paul McCartney and hosted her own radio shows in both Mexico and the UK.
FERNANDO CARMONA graduated summa cum laude with a BA in Piano from the National School of Music of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he studied under Professors Arturo Uruchurtu and Ninowska Fernandez–Britto. He received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture in Mexico City to represent the School of Music during a Master Class offered by renowned pianist Peter Jablonsky in Mexico City.
