The Austrian trio Radian is a post-rock and electronic group using both, acoustic and electronic instruments. The group's members often play even their acoustic instruments in such a rhythmically precise manner that Radian sounds more like an electronic act than a band.

Radian - which includes bassist John Norman, drummer Martin Brandlmayr, and synth player Stefan Németh formed in Vienna in 1996. The three musicians did not play their first show until a year after they came together as a band.

Their first CD is called TG11, and was released jointly by Rhiz and Mego in 2000. In 2009, Radian released Chimeric on Thrill Jockey, their most recent release to date, which the band describes as an unpolished album and uses adjectives such as raw, broken and even dark sometimes.
