The Library of Congress, with the support of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, presents a performance by Ensemble Intercontemporain.
Founded in 1976 by Pierre Boulez, the 31 soloists Ensemble Intercontemporain brings to the audience a perspective on music from the 20th and 21st centuries. Under the direction of composer/conductor Matthias Pintscher, the Ensemble will perform a program featuring Varèse, Berg and Ligeti as well as two receently composed pieces by Hannah Lash, presented as part of the triptych Profiles of Light.
