The monthly French Cinémathèque series at the Avalon Theatre, in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, presents the screening of the 2015 film Valley of Love by Guillaume Nicloux.

Long-divorced former spouses Isabelle and Gérard are reunited in Death Valley, California at the request of their son, Michael. He died six months ago by suicide and left behind a letter instructing them to meet on a specific date in this stark place, whereupon he assures he will briefly appear to them. Despite the strangeness of the situation, the two French actors decided to go to the appointment and wait for their son.
