LECTURE – DISCUSSION | MARC ELSBERG: Bestseller Author of "BLACKOUT" May 31, 2017 | 6:00 pm Learn about power outage issues with the Austrian author, Marc Elsberg, who will showcase his techno-thriller book, Blackout. Since 2012 the book got translated into 17 languages and was sold nearly two million times. In February 2017 this bestseller has just been translated from German into English. The Times nominated it to the "Book of the Month". Berlin-based Marc Elsberg will be visiting the DC area to promote his book. His novel illustrates modern society’s interdependencies and vulnerabilities, dramatizing the consequences of a weeklong blackout caused by a hacker attack against European and U.S. power grids.
