On the occasion of the International Day of the Freedom of the Press and in view of a perceived partisan erosion of trust in and credibility of the media, the panel discussion withPaul Farhi (Washington Post), Eric Frey (Der Standard) and John Walcott (Reuters) – moderated by Hannelore Veit (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation, ORF) – will look into the state of play on both sides of the Atlantic.
The ACF Washington is delighted to partner with the Washington Jewish Film Festival, taking place from May 2 to 13, and co-sponsors the screening of the film Back to the Fatherland. The Austrian director Katharina Rohrer will come to Washington, DC to present the film. With The Testament and Tracking Edith two more films with an Austrian participation are part of the overall festival program.
