Bistro Bohem will feature "Elementary School"(Obecná škola), a cinematographic childhood memory of renowned writer Zdeněk Svěrák, filled with humor and wit, and directed by his son Jan Svěrák on July 17, 2017, at 7 pm. In the film, a young boy looks up to his new teacher, only to realize that he is not quite who he says he is.

Set in a Prague suburb shortly after World War II, a new teacher arrives at a boy's school and soon becomes an admired figure to his students and the townspeople. The story revolves around young Eda and his relationship with the two authority figures in his life – his father and his teacher Hnízdo. Using strict discipline and stories about his experiences in the war, Hnízdo manages to bring order to a classroom full of obnoxious children who sent their last teacher to the madhouse.
