A Beer Seminar and Tasting with Expert Marnie Old

Join us on Saturday, October 27 from 2 pm – 4 pm!

Cost: $35 for nonmembers; $30 for members

Join us in kicking off the GAHF’s involvement in DeutschlandJahrUSA 2018/2019 with a beer-tasting seminar led by award-winning drinks educator Marnie Old! Ms. Old is the former director of wine studies at Manhattan’s International Culinary Center and noted expert on German-style beers. During her engaging presentation she will lead guests through a guided tasting of ten beers, while exploring the history of German and American beers from the last five centuries. Her seminar will educate guests on monastic brewing practices, beers of the masses, and the remarkable rainbow of lagers from German and American brewers that reflect the time-honored traditions of classic German brewing styles and the limitless innovations of modern American craft brewers.
