The EuroAsia Shorts film festival is coming to its end. We are happy to announce that the Austrian short film “Applesauce” by Alexander Gratzer is featured in the closing program and available until June 18.

Vienna-based TRIO IMMERSIO recorded an exclusive performance of  'Verklärte Nacht' by Austrian composer Arnold Schönberg. Join Vira Zhuk (violin), Mariam Vardzelashvili (piano) and Irene Kok (cello) and dive into the sound world of vivid emotions, colors and ideas.
 
The music video is available for viewing on the YouTube Channel of the Austrian Embassy starting June 14, as well as on the website of the ACFDC.

Elizabeth Anthony, historian and director of Visiting Scholar Programs at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, presents her newest publication “The Compromise of Return: Viennese Jews after the Holocaust (2021)”.

A short introduction to the book by the author herself will be followed by a discussion between her and Prof. Michael Brenner, Seymour and Lillian Abensohn Chair in Israel Studies and director of the Center for Israel Studies at American University.  The Austrian Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Martin Weiss, will give welcoming words.
